PGSF Poster Contest
After going through the design process, choosing this idea was easy. It was the most developed idea and it fit the assignment the best. Creating the buildings was easy and I was glad I had the chance to practice creating art with shapes. Finding the information was slightly difficult as their website didn’t have the information I needed but going through their previous posters solved that problem. The hardest part was creating the cars. I didn’t know how, and I couldn’t copy paste one off google because the styles were totally different. So, after a day of creating cars and erasing them I finally got a version that was tolerable and stuck it in the poster. All together I did enjoy this project and the challenge it gave me.

VizzComm Poster Contest
My first idea for this poster went with the “One Print, Many Forms” and I had a puzzle piece idea in my head. After making three or four versions of that idea I ran out of inspiration for it and it didn’t seem to fit the requirements so I dropped it and moved to the “More than Paper” and was going to use graphic design tools to demonstrate the heading. I came up with an idea then decided it was entirely to complicated and I had no idea how to accomplish creating it so I changed it to the poster I have now, still going with the graphic design tools but using a more “flat design” process and showing the designer at their desk. This project gave me the chance to work on my ideation skills and I’m glad for I feel the final piece is way better than my first idea.
